Narine and Compton, 35, called ‘Yankee,’ were charged with Sarjou’s murder last month. It is alleged that on November 4, 2010 at Georgetown, they murdered Sarjou. They were not required to plead to the capital offence.

Skeletal remains believed to be Sarjou’s were unearthed on May 22 at Narine’s Campbellville residence.

Sarjou had gone missing on the eve of Diwali 2010 which was on November 4 that year. She had left her Timehri home having informed her family that after work, she was going to view the annual motorcade with her estranged husband and four-year-old son. She had promised she would be back home at around 9 that night. She was never seen or heard from again.
