STARR Computer yesterday launched its Business Centre on the second floor of its 59 Brickdam premises.
A release from the company said that the Business Centre provides start-up businesses, small to medium and corporate business with IT Solutions in the area of Mobility, Point of Sale (POS), Security, Training and Cloud Computing.
Mike Mohan, President of STARR Computer, said at the launching “that businesses cannot afford to operate the way they did 10 years ago.
It is businesses that adapt to technology that will be more productive, efficient, and provide better customer services. Technology in Business, transforms Businesses”.
STARR Computer is now moving beyond the traditional POS systems and engaging its customers on the future of IT in business.
Mohan said that companies in Guyana are not realising their true potential since they are utilizing traditional methods of operations.
A new product that was demonstrated at the launch was a video doorbell buzzer for entrances where at the press of a button the alert rings on a cell phone with a live video feed. Also, on display was Touch Screen POS Solutions, Portable printers, Portable POS equipment, Biometric systems among others.
