Fitness fans get ready, the highly anticipated Mr. Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Show will be staged on July 10 at the National Cultural Centre.
The cream of the nation’s musclemen and women outfitted with rippling abdominals, well defined quadriceps, sculpted arms and bikinis will be on display as they battle for supremacy and the tag of Guyana’s top bodybuilder and fitness athlete.
This year’s event promises to be of a higher standard than the previous championships since many of the athletes are seasoned and have competed in many shows before.
Not only will the nation’s best physiques turn the stage into their battleground, but for the second time, the flourishing Men’s Physique segment will be contested on the
senior stage.
Aesthetics, symmetry, muscularity, confidence and of course brightly coloured board shorts will be present.
Patrons at the venue can look forward to local hunks posing and flexing their V tapered physiques in a showdown of the ‘battle of the board shorts’.
On the highly anticipated night, musclemen and women will compete for cash prizes, trophies and supplement hampers.
When interviewed, the gladiators promised to bring their ‘A’ game to the stage.
President of the federation, Keavon Bess opined that this year’s competition is shaping up to be the “most competitive one in the last decade”.
To add some international flavour and excitement to the event, the federation has recruited Barbados based, Domini Alleyne (Ms. Barbados Bikini Fitness 2014) and Bajan muscleman, Stevenson Belle to guest pose.
The championships starts at 19:00hrs and admission is listed at $1500.
