A resident of North Road, Lacytown, Georgetown is distressed at constant break-ins at her home, with the most recent being between Sunday night and Monday morning when the thief stole her cell phone valued $35,000 and other articles.
Holly Monderson told Stabroek News that she woke up on Monday morning to find the Alcatel phone along with the charger, an extra memory card and important documents, gone.
Upon checking, she noticed that the panes from the louvre window and the grill had been removed and placed on the floor.
She suspects it was the job of a known individual who is in the habit of breaking into her house and stealing her articles. The woman is praying that he would return the items.
According to her, a few weeks ago she woke up to find him in her house and when questioned about how he got in, he told her that she had left the door open.
On one occasion, he entered and stole her 13-year-old son’s Nintendo game and another time he carted off her son’s hat. The hat was stolen on the same day that the man had tried to borrow it from her son, who refused to lend.
Besides, she said, he carted off four bicycles at four different times and would reportedly use the bicycles to commit robberies around the town. According to her, the police are looking for him.
