A teenager appeared in a city court yesterday where he was remanded to prison after being accused of stealing over $300,000 in items.
Nineteen-year-old Floyd Haynes, appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore where the charge read to him stated that between March 4 and 5 at East Ruimveldt he stole an Apple laptop, 2 Samsung phones, and a cologne, all having a total value of $396,000, property of James Cole.
Haynes, a minibus conductor, pleaded not guilty to the accusation.
According to the facts presented by the prosecution, the defendant is wanted in connection with a series of similar offences.
Bail was subsequently denied and the matter adjourned to July 18.
