Camille’s Institute crushed the Canadian School of Arts and Science by a 7-0 margin when the Digicel Schools Football Championship continued on Wednesday at the Leonora Sports Facility.
Ralph William scored a brace in the seventh and 35th minute while Kerry Barker recorded a double in the 31st and 65th minute. Also scoring were Isaiah Sam, Ronaldo Sim and Gavin Abrams in the first, 55th and 70th minute respectively.
In Linden at the Wisburg Secondary School ground, four-time defending champion Wismar/Christianburg Secondary defeated New Silver City Secondary 2-0. Meanwhile in Georgetown, Morgan defeated Mae’s Secondary 18-0 at the Ministry of Education ground.
Leon Richardson led the rout with goals in the 13th, 28th, 33rd, 54th and 59th minute while Orin Moore scored a hat-trick in the 18th, 66th and 70th minute and Akosi Jervis netted a brace in the 55th and 67th minute.
Also scoring were Nehemiah Gomes, Osafo Matheson, Daniel Nedd, Tariq Nelson, Andre Trotz, Malachi Adonis, Tyrese Rowley and Tarell Edwards in the 17th, 22nd, 31st, 35th, 40th, 49th, 61st and 68th minute apiece.
At Skeldon ground in Berbice, J.C. Chandisingh defeated Canje Secondary by a 2-0 margin. The event will resume today with matches at several venues.
