Dear Editor,
I had applied to One Laptop Per Family for a laptop more than three years ago, and I was verified on more than three occasions at Lamaha Street and later Forshaw Street, but until this day no laptop has ever been given to me. We were told each family is entitled to a laptop but that is not true; thousands of families have been deprived of this benefit. We were also told about community work. I did hundreds of hours of community work and I am still working in my community but still no laptop. I am being told that hundreds of laptops went missing and some families were given more than one laptop. I have a son who was in Grades 4, 5 and 6 and wrote the Grade Six Assessment without a government laptop. I do pray and hope the present government which I support, allows citizens to have a say and considers those applicants of three years ago.
Yours faithfully,
Joseph Azeez
