A man is now a patient in a city hospital after he lost control of the car he was driving yesterday morning and it toppled into a drain at Brickdam, Georgetown.
Ohene Koama of South Ruimveldt Park, George-town sustained injuries to his neck and shoulder and was rushed to the George-town Public Hospital where he remained a patient up to yesterday afternoon in a stable condition.
According to information reaching this newspaper, the accident occurred around 8.30 am in the vicinity of Guyana Geo-logy and Mines Commission (GGMC). Koama was reportedly proceeding east along Brickdam when he somehow lost control of motor car PLL 5339 and slammed into a utility pole before toppling into a nearby drain.
At the time he has just dropped off a friend at a location in the area and was heading home.
He was the lone occupant of the car which was extensively damaged.
