Tourney hosts Guyana qualified for the semi-final round in the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) Boys u16 Championship, besting Jamaica 73-57 yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Needing to win while scoring 70 points or more, Guyana handed Jamaica their first loss of the event as Jordan Alphonso recorded another double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Kevon Wiggins was the next best scorer with 16 points while Shamar France netted 13 points and Akeem Crandon registered 10 points and 22 rebounds.
