Dear Editor,
I read on cricinfo that Sri Lanka was the only major cricket country that opposed the proposed two-tier Test system. Is that true? Does the West Indies support it? West Indians should not have to speculate about such an important matter. I am sure that most West Indian fans would be opposed to the idea. Why wasn’t there such a system in the seventies and eighties? Was it because the West Indies would be the only country in tier one?
There must be an immediate discussion of this matter.
