Police yesterday acting on information picked up a human skull and several pieces of bone in the backlands of Bee Hive, East Coast Demerara.
Commander of ‘C’ Division, Marlon Chapman told Stabroek News that the police are unable to positively link the findings to any unsolved murder. Stabroek News was told that a pathologist would have to examine the bones to check whether the cause of death could be determined. Forensic tests would also have to be carried out on the human remains.
Police went to the backlands after reports from farmers. They recovered a skull and pieces of bone.
Investigations are continuing.
