The IV International Congress on Biodiversity of the Guiana Shield is to be held at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre from August 8 to 12 this year.
According to a press release from Biodiversity Guyana, several global experts on biodiversity and sustainable development are expected to participate. Those expected to deliver keynote talks include Executive Vice Chair at Conservation International, Russel Mittermeier, forest policy expert, Robert J Lilieholm, Director and Founder of Gaia Amazon Foundation, Dr Martin von Hildebrand, UNDP Programme Specialist and Assistant Resident Representative/Programme, Patrick Chesney and biomimicry expert Dayna Baumeister.
The Local Organising Committee for the Congress urges eprsons interested in participating to register by visiting the congress website at www.biodiversity. org/ibg2016congress. Registration fees for international participants in US$125 while locals pay US$100. International and local student fees are US$75 AND US$50 respectively.
