Dear Editor,
I read a letter to the editor in SN, dated July 9, 2016, captioned ‘Dynamic flights are often delayed’ and would like to offer the following response.
First of all, I wish to thank the writer for the effort to pen the letter, outlining his concerns and observations, with reference to Dynamic International Airways flights between JFK and Guyana.
It is important that I point out that we are constantly striving every day to improve our service while contributing to the stabilization of airfares on this route, and offering passengers a wider choice of airlines to choose from between New York and Guyana.
As regards our schedules, I would have to agree with the writer that there are times when we have stumbled, resulting in late departures, but the facts and statistics would speak for themselves as a measure of the performance indicator for Dynamic International Airways over the past year. It is important to state that we operate 6 Boeing 767s.
The facts:
- Dynamic International Airways operates 5 flights per week between New York and Guyana.
- We are operating at an 80% load factor, moving approximately 10,000 passengers between New York and Guyana every month or 120,000 passengers annually.
- Our on time departure is approximately 80%.
- Our schedule is operated as follows ‒
Depart JFK 1.30am
Arrive Guyana 6.30am
Depart Guyana. 4 pm
Arrive JFK 9.30pm.
The flights are operated on the following days:
Friday, Saturday , Sunday , Monday and Tuesday
Yours faithfully,
Capt Gerry Gouveia
