After being destroyed by fire on September 9, 2014 and rebuilt earlier this year, the Umana Yana, a popular cultural meeting place was recommissioned yesterday. It was rebuilt mainly by the Wai Wai people of the Deep South Rupununi at a cost of $66.7m. Present at the ceremony yesterday were members of the Wai Wai tribe and Ministers David Patterson, Nicolette Henry, Sydney Allicock, Annette Ferguson and Valerie Garrido-Lowe. (Keno George photos)
