A neighbour of the Guyanese-born American citizen who was found dead in her Maryland apartment last Friday has been charged with robbery and first degree murder.
The body of 62-year-old Lenise Fredericks of 4100 Block of 71st Avenue, Landover Hills, Maryland was found inside her home bearing injuries that indicated she suffered trauma to her upper body.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The discovery was made by officers of the Prince George’s County Police after they visited the woman’s home to conduct a welfare check which was requested by relatives after they did not hear from her.
Meanwhile, the woman’s neighbour, 61-year-old Robert James Crosby has since been arrested and charged with killing her during the furtherance of a robbery. He is being held without bail, multiple reports from the US said.
