The Chairman and members of the newly elected Rice Assessment Committee Board over the last week resolved land issues at scheduled hearings at the Mahaicony and Leguan Magistrate’s courts respectively.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture, outstanding payment of leases and proprietorship of land were among the issues brought before the courts.
These matters were presided over by attorneys-at-law Omadatt Chandan and Yoganand Persaud respectively, the release stated.
