Three persons, including a father and his teenage son were discovered dead this morning in Mibicuri Creek, Black Bush Polder with gunshot wounds about their bodies.
Dead are Pawan Chandradeo, 37, his fifteen-year-old son Jaikarran Chandradeo, and brother-in-law, Naresh Rooplall, 33, a security guard of the Skeldon Estate and of Number 77 Village.
The Chandradeos sustained gunshot wounds to their heads while Rooplall was shot to his neck.
Stabroek News understands that several persons were arrested for questioning but were released early this afternoon.
Reports revealed that the trio left their home during Thursday to fish.
The police this evening issued the following release:
About 1050h. today the bodies of three unidentified males were found at Cookrite Creek, Savannah, Black Bush Polder.
Each body bore a single gunshot wound.
The Guyana Police Force has launched an investigation and one person has been arrested.
