Guyana U15s made a promising start to the West Indies Cricket Board’s limited overs round robin competition dismissing the Windward Islands for 108 in their first round encounter at Progress Park,Grenada.
The Windwards batted some 41 overs before being dismissed for 108 with Gavin Seriux making the top score of 41.
Leon Swamy 2-14, Daniel Paul 2-18, Nigel Deodat 2-19 and Jevon Schultz 2-23 shared the wickets for the Guyanese.
At the Tanteen Ground, Jamaica were dismissed for 141 in their match against the Leeward Islands.
Razzaq Williams, 28 and Romario Barnes, 27, were the principal scorers while K’von Esdaille 2-13, Taeim Tonge 2-22 and Tariq Newman 2-43 were the wicket takers.
At La Sagesse, Trinidad were 174-8 against Barbados off their allotted 50 overs with Jayden Seales’s 41 the top score. Leon Bassanoo supported with 24 while Vanir Maharaj ended on 16 not out.
Renacko Belgrave captured 2-8 and Jediah Blades 2-26.
