After four days of track and field, road racing and swimming, Headquarters emerged winners of the annual Guyana Police Force Inter-Division Athletics Championship on Friday at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.
The division amassed 624 points to once again handcuff the championship which they have had a firm grip on since 1998.
‘A’ Division, (337 points) was the first runner up followed by Country Division on 195 points.
Diminutive ace sprinter, Tevin Garraway helped the division to retain the championship by amassing 30 points to be crowned the champion male (B Class) athlete while Julio Sinclair was declared the champion A class athlete.
Headquarters had an unassailable lead heading into the final day and created further separation by winning the female 4x100m relay and sweeping the female 200m event.
