Dear Editor,
I should like to salute James Patterson, Chairman of the Commission of Inquiry into the Camp Street Prison riot that claimed the lives of 17 prisoners. All the members of the commission were professional and patient as they investigated the cause of the riot. Their recommendations should improve the prison environment so prison staff and inmates’ lives would be safe.
