Two cars were involved in an early morning crash yesterday after the driver of one of the vehicles refused to stop while crossing Croal Street.
According to eyewitnesses, the Nissan Dualis, PVV 4218, was travelling south along Albert Street to cross over Croal Street while the Toyota Allion, HC 4645, was driving west along Croal Street. The driver of the Dualis did not stop before crossing the road and collided with the left side of the Allion, sending it into the nearby trench.
A pregnant woman and a child in the Allion were taken to the hospital where they were treated and discharged.
