Dear Editor,
The authorities responsible for road works and traffic lights need to address the confusion at the junction at Diamond New Scheme not only during peak hours. I would imagine that all the roadworks have been completed around that area. It is time that the traffic lights are replaced so that motorists can be saved anxiety when they have to leave the New Scheme to enter the East Bank road.
While on the point of traffic lights, it was suggested earlier that the left lane approaching the Diamond junction from the north should indicate (in writing in the lane) the word Yield thus giving priority to traffic turning into the scheme from the south. Unless you are a driver, you would not experience the uncertainty displayed by many who are turning in to the Diamond New Scheme from both the north and south.
Yours faithfully,
