The Guyana Foundation Sunrise Centre recently benefitted from a donation from the Guyana Bank for Trade & Industry Ltd (GBTI) to complete the outfitting of the Centre’s counselling room.
According to a press release from the Guyana Foundation, the items which include a desktop computer with printer and stabiliser, an officer chair and a cheque to purchase a coffee table, were handed over to the Foundation by Pamela Binda, Public Relations and Marketing Manager at GBTI, and were received by the Foundation’s Managing Director, Anthony Autar, at a ceremony at the Bank’s Corporate Office in Kingston, Georgetown.
The release quoted Binda as saying “[t]he Bank is pleased to participate in the collective effort to eradicate the issues of suicide, depression and the pains associated with gender-based violence in our society… We commend the Guyana Foundation for its efforts in helping to create a mentally healthy environment for Guyana.”
