A man is now hospitalized after he was shot in his home late Wednesday night.
According to a police press release, Brinsley David, of Brusche Dam, Buxton, East Coast Demerara, was in his home around 11PM when the incident occurred.
The release added that David was in his bed and his wife, Zion Clarke, had left to use the washroom.
When she returned she subsequently saw someone pointing a black object through the bedroom window, after which several loud explosions were heard.
David was subsequently found bleeding profusely and he was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital by one of the nearby taxi services.
It was reported to Stabroek News that the man is currently stable in the recovery room at the hospital and is making positive strides towards recovery.
The police are yet to ascertain the motive of the attack and apprehend a suspect.
