The North Road woman who was shot in her mouth by her husband on Wednesday night is still in the ICU of a private hospital awaiting surgery.
Stabroek News had reported yesterday that around 7:30PM, Theodore Adams shot his wife, Sarojini Warnauth to her face.
The couple was sitting in their verandah with their daughter and Warnauth’s nephew when an argument had started. Adams then subsequently armed himself with his firearm and shot the woman to her mouth and then took his own life not too long after.
The woman was rushed to the St. Joseph Mercy hospital where she was stabilized and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). While the bullet is lodged in her throat, which is making it difficult for her to breathe, the woman regained consciousness and one of her relatives related that she was making signs to communicate.
However, the relatives stated that the doctors did not say when they would perform the surgery to remove the bullet.
