A Corentyne motorcyclist is on life-support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he collided with a cow on Saturday night.
Fariad Alli, 25, a mason, had reportedly just left his sister’s Number 71 Village, Corentyne home when he collided with a calf on the road. Stabroek News was told that the man was on his way to a pools shop when the accident occurred sometime around 11:30pm on Saturday.
Stabroek News was told that the calf had run into his path and caused the collision.
Alli was thrown off his motorcycle and was subsequently rushed to the Georgetown Hospital where he was admitted to the ICU in a critical condition.
When Stabroek News checked on the man’s condition yesterday, he was still in a critical condition and had not made any progress towards recovery.
