Police are investigating a reported Robbery under Arms committed on Mark English 31 years, of 992 Providence, E.B.D, which occurred about 0255h. this morning at the corner of Cemetery Road and Durban Street, Georgetown, of $30,000.00 cash GC, by three identifiable males.
Enquiries, police say, disclosed that the victim went to a shop to make a purchase when he was approached and robbed of the cash. During the process, one of the men who was armed with a handgun discharged, several rounds at the victim, hitting him in his left leg, the police say.
The victim managed to drive to a city hospital where he underwent surgery and admitted. His condition is regarded as stable.
The suspects have not yet been arrested.
