Dear Editor,
I’m a resident of Kara Kara, Mackenzie and since the election of our Mayor, my garbage hasn’t been collected. I am a single resident (bachelor) and since then my bins have been filled to capacity.
Garbage collection is being done by Cevon’s waste management at a cost of $18,000 per annum for those who can afford it. Editor, I simply can’t afford it.
With proper management, we don’t need people like Cevon’s in Linden. My suggestion is that the Mayor and Town Council should take the place of Cevon’s and charge a fraction of the rates Cevon charges. In that way the council would get some additional income to help manage the logistics of providing a reliable garbage collection service.
I’m not talking about only myself; lots of other citizens from various parts of this town are complaining about the same malpractice, so I don’t know if somebody could do something to rectify the situation.
Yours faithfully,
Derick Bacchus
