A Kitty woman was yesterday remanded to prison after being charged with possession of cocaine.
A city court heard that on August 23 at Alexander Street, Kitty, Ashley Singh, of Lot 71 Alexander Street, Kitty, had in her possession four grammes of cocaine for trafficking. Singh, who was represented by attorney Adrian Thompson, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her by Magistrate Renita Singh.
The magistrate subsequently remanded the young woman to prison and adjourned the matter until September 26.
