Dear Editor,
I have been trying for the past month to get in touch with the Guyana Student Loan office but to this day I have not succeeded. I am a past student of the University of Guyana now living overseas. I have been calling to find out how I can clear my student loan debt since the Minister of Finance promised a 50% interest reduction if paid before end of August. I have a few more days for this option and no idea as to how to get it done. I have heard the employees moved into a new office and the phones are not working properly.
Due to my work there is no way I can go to Guyana in person to get this done. I would appreciate some advice on how to get my student loan paid off without having to go to Guyana. There has to be something in place, I am assuming, if they want to get their money.
Yours faithfully,
