Eagles United claimed their second win in the Upper Demerara Football Association’s (UDFA) NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour National u17 league, edging Netrockers 3-2 on Wednesday at the Wisburg Secondary School ground.
Following their 4-0 win over High Stars in the previous matchup, Eagles took the lead off the boot of Jamal Allicock in the third minute. Omar Brewley increased their advantage with a 12th minute conversion.
The score ballooned to 3-0 in the 30th minute as Rasheed Johnson found the back of the net. Net-rockers eventually pulled one back in the 56th minute as Joel Isaacs etched his name on the scorer.
Kennel Batson further reduced the deficit as he netted two minutes onward. However Eagles held on in the remaining minutes to seal the outcome. In the other contest, Topp XX dismissed Amelia Ward Panthers by a 6-0 margin.
