According to a release from Joy Agness Events Inc, the conference is expected to expose local stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry to the range of specific requirements for ensuring Guyana’s success as a wedding destination and will feature a number of internationally recognised industry experts who will make presentations on a variety of topics.
“I have assembled a leading team of experts in this industry, including experts in areas such as logistics management, floral arrangement production, bridal decoration and cake among other skills…” the release quoted proprietor of Joy Agness Events Inc, Joy Agness as disclosing.
Among some of the presenters already confirmed are Richard Markel, co-founder of Association for Wedding Professionals International and Angie Zimmerman of Angie Zimmerman Designs of Eldorado Hills, California.
“Guyana has potential to become a wedding, honeymoon and special events destination given several of its attributes including its rich and diverse ethnic, religious and cultural mosaic; its exotic flora and fauna; its interesting heritage sites including Kaieteur Falls and St George’s Cathedral and its overall uniqueness as a country. This aspect of the tourism industry could be a major contributor to the Guyanese economy and to the sustained profitability of several private businesses. It will also assist in sustainable job creation,” the release quoted Agness as adding.
