Darrel John, the man who was last Friday found guilty of illegal firearm and ammunition possession was yesterday sentenced to 48 months imprisonment.
John was charged with having a .38 revolver and six matching rounds in his possession on September 27, 2015, when he was not the holder of a firearm licence.
According to the prosecution’s case, on the day in question John drew a firearm and threatened to kill several police ranks who were on patrol after they asked to conduct a search on the vehicle that he was driving.
