Lightning during this morningโs inclement weather conditions, affected three of the Guyana Power and Lightโs feeders emanating from the Kingston Electricity Generation facility supplying customers in Georgetown from approximately 10:43 hrs.
The areas affected were Cummingsburg, Lacytown, Werk-en-Rust, Sophia, Prashad Nagar, Kitty, Queenstown, Albertown and Kingston. The feeders were isolated and visually checked prior to repowering areas. The last affected area was repowered at 12:12 hrs, GPL said.
GPL sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused.
