Two persons were killed and three others were injured last evening when the vehicle they were in slammed into a horse, skidded off the road and turned turtle in a trench on the Number 49 Village, Corentyne Public Road.
The dead persons have been identified as Richard Ramnarace, age 45, of Number 46 Village, also on the Corentyne and Ramesh Rampat, aged 23 of Lot 34, Number 46 Village.
Injured are Prakash Gangaram, age 24, of 308, No. 47 Village; Rameshwar Mangar, age 31 of Lot 4, Number 46 village and Mahendra Ramprakash age 24 of No 47 Village.
Berbice Commander, Ian Amsterdam confirmed the accident which occurred after 8.30 pm last evening.
