Two men from Experiment Village, West Coast Berbice suffered stab injuries after a ruckus between them and a group of men at a wedding house in Waterloo, Bath Settlement on Saturday evening.
According to information gathered, brothers Jaggernauth Jodha, Rajindra Jodha and Khemraj Jodha were at the wedding house when Rajindra got into an argument with another man. Rajindra was slapped during the argument and his brothers went to his rescue.
The brothers were then attacked by four men with broken beer bottles. 31- year old Khemraj Jodha suffered a stab to the back of his neck while his 36- year old brother Jaggernauth Jodha sustained several stab wounds about his body. The two brothers were rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital where they were treated and admitted for observation.
Both were discharged yesterday and the police are investigating.
