Deodatt Singh, known as ‘Navo’, 32, of Lot 8 Cumberland, East Canje, Berbice passed away on Wednesday, three weeks after colliding with a horse on the Canefield Public Road.
According to reports, Singh was riding motorcycle, CD 5674 when he attempted to overtake a car and collided with a stray horse which ran into his path along the public road directly in front of Welfare Street, Canefield.
Singh was taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital and was subsequently transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he died fifteen days after being admitted.
He suffered a fractured skull among other injuries.
