A North Ruimveldt man was taken before a city court yesterday on a charge of discharging a loaded firearm.
Kevin Aaron, 32, was read a charge stating that on September 8, at Georgetown, he discharged a loaded firearm with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or cause grievous bodily harm to Rawle Blackman.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The police prosecutor objected to bail being granted based on the nature and seriousness of the offence. She related that while the gun was not found, the ammunition was recovered.
Aaron was remanded to prison until his next court hearing, which is fixed for October 3.
