The second annual Gold Cup table tennis tournament organized by Titans Table tennis Club is set to take place next month with the winners set to receive lucrative cash prizes.
According to Dwain Dick, president of Titans Table Tennis club, this year’s tournament is expected to have an international flavor with players from Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago expected to participate.
The three-day tournament will be held October 28-30 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and the categories to be contested are:Under 9, Under 11, 13, 15 and 18 boys and girls, Under 21 Open, B Class Open, and Over 40 and 50 Open.
The winner of the Open men’s singles event will receive $60,000 while the female winner will receive $50,000 and the winners of the veteran’s categories $40,000.
