It is alleged that Alleyne, 23, of 77 Cemetery Road, Timehri, murdered Ganesh on August 1, 2015 at Montrose, East Coast Demerara.

Ganesh’s body was found in a pool of blood in the kitchen of the bottom flat of the two-storey Montrose house, where she had been caretaker for some time. An autopsy revealed that she died as a result of strangulation and brain haemorrhaging reportedly as a result of the severe beating she received at the hands of her killer. The attack was caught on CCTV cameras in the house
