Transport Sports Club (TSC) on Sunday defeated Ace Warriors by six wickets in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) 40-overs-a-side second division competition.
Batting first, Ace Warriors made 140 all out in 35.5 overs with Rawle Enmore’s 73 the top score. His innings included seven fours and two sixes.
Extras was the next best contributor with 24 runs while Roger Aarons chipped in with a breezy knock of 13.
Bowling for TSC Keon Morris captured 4-27, Shaun Massiah 3-11 and Azeem Azeez, 2-15.
Transport Sports Club compiled 143/4 in 23.3 overs with Chemroy Kendall 45, an innings which included four fours and two sixes, Massiah, 30, (two fours and two sixes) Devaughn Nandan, 20 and Charwayne Mc Pherson, 18.
Bowling for Ace Warriors, Shemar De Souza picked up 2-35.
On Saturday, TSC had won against Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) in a rain-affected encounter.
Overnight rain had reduced the game to a 30-overs-a-side affair and GYO won the toss and asked TSC to take first strike.
TSC reached 144 all out in 24 overs with Massiah 47 top scoring with 47, Mc Pherson making 29 and Chevron Kelsall and Oslyn Batson 15 each. Bowling for GYO, medium pacer Keshun Singh took 3/34, Abilash Dookie 3/22 and Trevon France 2/42.
GYO in reply were dismissed for 104 in 25.4 overs with Yeudister Persaud stroking 26 and Trevon France a cameo 27. Bowling for TSC Morris with 3/27 and Kevin Ross with 2/13 were the main wicket takers.
