Dear Editor,
Minister Bulkan’s statement about the Town Clerk’s action in cleaning Robb Street, removing the vendors and executing what was lawful in clearing blocked passages and entrances to legitimate businesses and the filth that had accumulated because of the vendors operating there, was unfortunate and disrespectful to the Town Clerk.
The Minister should have sought an interaction with the Town Clerk before coming out with the damning statement that he did. I wish the Minister would cooperate more with the Town Clerk and the Mayor and City Council by assisting to make funds available for the work and management of our capital City of Georgetown. A statement of that nature should not occur again.
We are proud of the Town Clerk and the works he has executed so far; he should not be discouraged.
I thank the Mayor for her support of the Town Clerk, and I wish her another term in office. She should continue the good work.
Yours faithfully,
Ranwell Jordan
