Guyanese educationist Carmen E Jarvis will launch her autobiography tomorrow at the Georgetown Club at 5:30 pm.
According to a press release, Jarvis, now in her 92nd year, has titled the autobiography From Seedtime to Harvest… An Account of my Life and Times.
The release quoted Prof David Dabydeen, as writing in his preface to the book, “Apart from allowing us insights into her personal drive to achieve, Mrs Jarvis’ autobiography offers invaluable glimpses into the condition of the British Guianese society from the 1930s.”
According to the release, Professor Vibert Cambridge is slated as the guest speaker at tomorrow’s event and Evelyn Hamilton will introduce the author.
Copies of the autobiography will be available.
