Transport Sports Club (TSC) won one match and lost the other last weekend as the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) division-two, limited overs competition continued.
On Saturday, they defeated the University of Guyana by seven wickets while the following day they lost by 50 runs to the Guyana National Industrial Corporation.
Against the University of Guyana, Transport SC routed the students for 100 in 21 overs with spinner Azeem Azeeg bagging 8-27.
The University of Guyana team was off to a fine start with openers Melrose Stephenson and Dwayne Dodson putting on an opening stand of 50. But therafter the innings fell away and only Michael Shalim with 18 provided resistance.
Morris took the other two wickets to fall to end with 2/27.
TSC, in reply, reached 101/3 from 24 overs with Shaun Massiah scoring 31, Rachel Singh 26 and Charwayne McPherson 17. Bowling for UG Dennis Haywood took 3/18.
On Sunday, GNIC batting first scored 171 all out in 36.2 overs with Marc Nicholson scoring 45, Ryan Shun 42 and Joshua Persaud 19.
Bowling for TSC Massiah ended with 4/9 and Oslyn Batson 3/28.
TSC, in reply, were dismissed for 122 from 34.2 overs with Devaughn Nandan 46 and Raphael Singh 26 the principal scorers. Jermain Grovenor, David Dick and Ranole Bourne ended with two wickets each.
