An inspired bowling effort propelled Trisco/Novelty to a 100-run victory over Water Plant when the Banks DIH Limited (Ltd) GT Beer Inter-Department Tape Ball cricket competition continued on Thursday.
Asked to defend an imposing total of 168-7 at the Thirst Park ground, Trisco/Novelty secured the result as the duo of Keevin Farley and Divarkar Shivmangal shared seven wickets to dismiss their opponent for 68 in 7.4 overs.
Farley marshalled the rout with figures of 4-7 from his three-over spell while Shivmangal provided able support as he recorded 3-2 in his allotted overs.
Earlier, Trisco/Novelty’s score came from contributions from Rick Ritchie, Eon Massiah and Anthony Boodha.
Ritchie top scored with 47 (5x6s and 4x4s) while Massiah stroked 38 (2x6s and 6x4s) and Boodha chipped in with 35 (4x6s and 2x4s).
