Transports Sports Club (TSC) Sunday scored a four-wicket win over Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) in a limited overs match of the New Building Society (NBS)/Georgetown Cricket Association second-division cricket competition.
The match, played at the MSC ground, Thomas Lands, saw the home team, batting first, reaching 182-8 off their allotted 40 overs after being 29-4 after 15 overs.
Shaquille Mosely and Clarence Baird were the top scorers with Mosely making 58 and Baird 44. The two featured in a seventh wicket partnership of 93 runs.
Mosely struck four sixes and three fours from 50 balls while Baird’s innings included two sixes and two fours.
Keifa Naughton chipped in with 25.
Bowling for TSC, Devaughn Nandan and Shaun Massiah captured two wickets each for 27 and 57 runs respectively while Kevin Ross had a miserly spell of eight overs, six maidens, three runs and one 1 wicket.
TSC, in reply romped to victory in 29.5 overs reaching 185/6.
Chemroy Kendall top scored with 71, an innings which included five sixes and nine fours from just 31 balls.
He received support from Nandan 24, Charwayne McPherson, 19, Raphael Singh not out 15 and Captain Shaun Massiah who was not out on eight.
Bowling for MSC, Mark Comabaj took 2/50 and Mosley 2/24.
