Recently there was a post made on Facebook by the REO of Region 9, Carl Parker where he posted a photo of an ill guard who had fallen asleep on the job.
This picture which was shared four times was grossly disrespectful to the woman and her family. The REO was chastised by many for posting such a picture of this poor woman who was indeed unwell and had to be hospitalised.
The post has since been deleted after many quarreled with him about putting that poor Indigenous woman who had never been on the internet on display like that when she was clearly unwell.
Earlier in the year there was a petition by Region Nine residents and the opposition to have this REO removed since he is not beneficial to our Region but nothing was done. I now ask what more proof does this Government need about the mentality of this man?
I think he needs to issue a public apology to this woman who might lose her job when she gets better and her family he so publicly embarrassed for a few likes.
