An autopsy performed yesterday on the remains of farmer Infant Forrester, whose badly decomposed body was discovered on Wednesday at Craig Sea Dam, East Bank Demerara, was inconclusive.
This is according to his son, Dexter Forrester, who said that due to the state of decomposition, the pathologist was unable to ascertain the cause of death.
The badly decomposed body of the senior Forrester, called “Bolt and Nut,” 53, of Timehri, East Bank Demerara, was found around 2pm on Wednesday by a fisherman.
Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the police had been unable to determine if the body bore any marks of violence.
Dexter Forrester had related to Stabroek News that he last saw his father alive about one month ago. He had explained that it was customary for his father to go missing for weeks and return and as a result no missing person report was made to the police.
“My father use to deh all over the place, drinking and working and he does come back,” Dexter said, while adding that some three weeks ago he learnt that the man had fallen ill and was taken to the Diamond Hospital. He had been admitted but was subsequently discharged.
“I hear the man he use to work with take him there and by time I go the hospital, they say he did just get discharge and I couldn’t find him,” he added.
