A man was caught with some 2,000 grammes of cocaine along the Albion Public Road around 10.15 am on Saturday.
According to information gathered, the 45-year-old man was travelling in a bus when ranks attached to the Albion Police Station stopped the bus based on information received.
The man was seen acting in a suspicious manner and he was asked to exit the bus while the other passengers remained inside. A search was conducted on the man and two parcels were discovered in his backpack. He was then taken into the Albion Police Station where the parcels were opened and weighed in his presence. He is currently being held at the Albion Police Station and is likely to be charged shortly.
