The mother of a missing Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara teenager is seeking the public’s help to ensure her safe return home.
Missing is 15-year-old Tonica Inniss, of Lot 49 Burma, Mahaicony, and a student of Bygeval Secondary School, who has not been seen since last Thursday.
Her mother, Tamika Wilson, told Stabroek News that the girl left her home on Thursday morning around 7.15 for school and never returned. Wilson said her daughter had no problems at home and therefore is questioning her disappearance.
“Someone told me that she didn’t even turn up to school on Thursday and all I hearing is she and her father had some talk after he hear she did something,” the woman said.
Wilson said a report of the girl’s disappearance was made to the Mahaicony Police Station.
Inniss was last seen wearing her school uniform; a green skirt and white shirt. Anyone with information about the missing teen is asked to contact the nearest police station or her relatives on telephone numbers 675-2695 and 682-4767.
